Department of Culture
The culture department is headed by Luydmila Victorivna Fedechko – the associate professor.
Department of culture conducts professional training of choreographers, managers of show-business, theatre and cinema actors, producers of variety and public celebrations, announcers and TV presenters, camera operators, bibliographers (license of MES of Ukraine AB № 159982, dated 28.11.2006).
Under the guidance of experienced specialists, the students master a broad complex of professional knowledge and skills, necessary for creative, exponential- artistic, scientific - pedagogical and methodical- organizational work.
Practical activity plays a particular part in students’ professional development. Depending on selected specialty, students improve their professional skills in creative groups such as folk dance’s ensemble «Talisman», band «2 set», folk dance’s ensemble «Rodoslav», ball dance’s ensemble «Star dance». They display managerial and producer abilities in organization and conducting of Institute’s creative groups concerts and tours, create their own programs on the basis of student TV studio, embody their own actor vision in «Otcrovenie», «Deep» and «Art & Gart» theatre studios performances.
The department consists of the following chairs:
- theatre art chair;
- cinema, TV art chair;
- choreographic art;
- management chair;
- bibliology, library science and bibliography chair.
The theatre art chair
The theatre art chair trains qualified specialists at «Theatre art» specialty, specializations «Drama theatre and cinema acting art», «Puppet theatre acting art», «Variety and public celebrations production». The chair is headed by Honored Culture Worker of Ukraine - Volodymyr Andriyovych Sagan.
During classes, the chair professors use innovation training methods, such as discussions, excursions, lessons- concerts, creative meetings, master -classes. Students are involved at their group mates creative practical works analysis and reviewing, scientific works, related to acting and production art traditions and development tendencies, create students profession advertising art programs.
Future actors and producers get practical training during creative project «Krasna Plosha,7» concerts, traditional students’ institute activities, regional concert programs, professional holidays and public celebrations (City Birthday, exhibition of flowers, theatrical funfair, New Year’s program, Shrovetide) organization and conducting. The chair students and professors have always been members of a jury of regional and country’s contests of amateur art, taken part in attending the first nights, provided methodical and practical help to regional exemplary, folk theatre collectives.
The cinema-, TV-art chair
The cinema-, TV-art chair conducts qualified specialists training on such specializations as «announcer», «TV presenter», «TV director», «camera operator». The chair is headed by Vasyl Kersantovych Dunin - the professor.
Modern requirements to the educational process lie not only at making students get scientific facts system, ready verities and cliché. It is up- to-date to make students think creatively, make them able to analyze and generalize facts, defend their point of view, by providing sufficient proves, treat information sources critically, learn how to collaborate with other people. This important task is being solved by cinema- and TV-art chair, by means of active and interactive studying methods implementation in the process of students training.
For example, simple and complex methods such as «brainstorm», «working in pairs and small groups», «rotary groups», «attacking a teacher», «meeting of expert group» together with annual excursion to the national TV companies and cinema studios are being used for cognitive activity activation.
Feedback from these and those innovative educational methods gives evident results: students are able to cooperate, think in a creative way, acquire theory and practice of television business quicker and deeper, and show professional knowledge and skills already during 3rd and 4th year of studies, by making screen product of a complex shape and format. This is furthered by the possibility to involve students in the process of preparing TV programs for broadcasting at the students’ TV studio on early stages of education. Here, under the guidance of professors, students prepare by themselves plots for news program «StuDen», for student TV films «My life is cinematography», for comic program «OTAK», and as well as for telecasts of artistic, analytical, entertaining direction. These programs have been recognized by young spectator audience. And all 5 year students have already been invited to work at professional electronic media organizations.
The chair of choreographic art
The chair of choreographic art trains folk, modern, ball choreography experts - ballet masters and artists of professional and amateur choreographic collectives, teachers of Choreography for educational establishments of different accreditation levels. The choreographic arts head chair is Potyomkina Olga Mykolayivna.
The work of chair teaching staff is oriented at the upbringing of specialists, mastering the whole palette of expressive means of choreographic art, modern training methodology, ballet master’s activity skills.
For this purpose, the chair uses different forms and methods of educational process organization. The teaching staff efficiently combines theory and practice, traditional and innovative educational methods: trainings, games, situation tasks, problem- solving lessons, master classes, and academic performances.
Much attention is paid to individualization of education and individual work of the students. In the institute’s scientific lab, the chair teaching staff research choreography psycho physiological aspects, peculiarities of choreographic art at in Lugansk region, modern dance development tendencies in Ukraine and abroad. The chair maintains creative relations with well-known scholars and cultural workers of Ukraine, leading collectives from other regions, provide with methodical and practical consulting the leaders of choreographic collectives in our region.
Choreography collectives - being so called creative laboratory, where students implement their ballet masters ideas, bring into life joint choreographic projects in creative collaboration with professors, improve their interpreting skills, had been created in order to develop students creative skills. High level of chair professors teaching skills is being confirmed by students triumph at prestigious international and all – Ukrainian choreographic contests.
The bibliology, library science and bibliography chair
The bibliology, library science and bibliography chair trains library specialists, capable to work effectively at society informatization conditions, create, develop and use automated librarian networks, electronic sources and information technologies, built on the basis of modern computer and telecommunication equipment, Internet technologies. The chair is headed by Bydolenko Larysa Anatolievna.
The chair trains professional specialists and conducts lectures reading and all classes’ types conducting in 38 lecture and practical courses. Chair main activities direction is new educational programs and unique courses development, newest information technologies implementation in the process of highly qualified specialists’ educational training; scientific researches conducting on the issues of bibliology, library science and bibliography. Practical training plays an important part at future librarians’ professional development. Under professors guidance students assist at technological processes and operations, related to documentation fund acquisition, organization and turnaround, documentation analytical – synthetic processing, readers servicing, information search engines and specific libraries data base organization and usage. This allows training of the specialists, able to work at modern documentation – information systems.
The chair successfully collaborates with large-scale librarian – information establishments of the region.
Management chair
Management chair conducts highly qualified management system, management and show business specialists training, provides knowledge complex in order to create conditions for creative work at organizations of socio- cultural profile. The chair is headed by Olga Volodymyrivna Rossoshanska - the economy science candidate.
Chair professors’ staff has developed and constantly improves courses scientific- methodic educational materials, author specialized courses. Created system of making knowledge clear and courses training methodology provides the possibility to train culture management specialists, master collective management skills, develop management strategy by taking into account public and personal interests, control its’ realization process. Educational programs combine communicative and classical methodology, best principles of domestic and foreign education methods. Together with explicative –illustrative, reproductive, search, model, project and research methods, the chair professors use unique methods, such as fintra and case methods. Students’ independent work is aimed at Internet usage in order to study various literary sources, learn modern management methods at the near abroad and foreign countries, performance of individual tasks on the selection of the examples from press, learning socio-cultural area organizations activities. Students- managers improve their professional skills by assisting at LSICA creative centre «Krasna Plosha, 7» concert activities.
Management chair collaborates closely with local culture establishments, district and local culture departments, models agencies, companies. One of the chair traditions is the realization of projects in social and art area, made upon the students’ initiative.
