We invite you to take part in our creative contests
Lugansk State Institute of Culture and Arts is the the initiator and organizer of the creative contests in various arts. These contests are supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine, the Lugansk Department of Culture and Tourism, regional administration, and other official organizations.

Nominations and categories of the contests participants
1st Opened ball dance contest festival “Star Dance Cup”
Festival has the following nominations:
- ball dance ensembles;
- sport dance ensembles.
Ball dance ensembles submit the concert performances, staged by ball choreography language (the requisite and stage costumes usage is allowed).
Sport dance ensembles should submit for the festival contest the European or Latin-American programme (formation) in accordance with rules of the International Sport Dance Federation (ISDF).
The individual performers’ contest is conducted in accordance with the European and American programme by age groups (juniors 2, youth 1, youth 2) in accordance with the International Sport Dance Federation regulations (see enclosed file).
Ensembles participants’ age:
- 1 group – (14-17 years);
- 2 group – (18-21 years).

Participants of the contest
the performers on orchestra stringed instruments according to the age categories take part at contest:
first- pupils not older than 14;
second - I-II year students of higher musical educational establishments of I-II accreditation levels;
third - III-IV year students year students of higher musical educational establishments of I-II accreditation levels.
VI th All- Ukraninian audition - contest for folk instruments department pupils and students of primary specialized artistic educational establishments of I-II accreditation levels in the memory of Voyevodin dynasty
Folk instruments musicians (bayan, balalaika, bandura, accordion, domra and guitar) of four categories are invited.
Age categories:
- I - pupils up to 12
- II - pupils up to 14
- III - students of the I and II courses of the Musical High School
- IV - Students of the III – V courses of the Musical High School

The Participants Of the Contest
The students of art educational establishments I-II accreditation level (by 2 or 3 persons for each nomination from the institute of higher education).
The Contest is held on the following nominations:
- picture of naked body;
- picture of a head.
1st Ukrainian open cinema-, television compositions public competition “Korotky Meter”
Competition participant can be any individual or legal entity: a student of higher or secondary educational establishments, who studies for the professional direction; professional studios and television workers of any form of ownership members of adults, children and youth cinema studios, animation studios and study groups.
Video materials may be of any subject, architectonic format and any genre.
Time limit of the video works is 30 minutes
Contest projects should be done not later then 2008.
Projects which were done in all requirements of Competitions will be taken from the 1st of January to 1st of March 2010 inclusively.
The terms of projects jury are from 1st to 13th of May.
Festival part of the competition will be from the 14th to 15th of March 2010 inclusively.
The Second International Animation Festival for children «Surpriz»
The authors’ age don’t have to exceed 18 years for the time of making a requisition.
The Festival will hold in two periods:
The first period (elimination) will be holding since the 1-st till the 15-th of May 2010. It includes the viewing and selection of the sended works by the members of the jury.
The second period (final) will be holding since the 28-th till the 29-th of May 2010 –n the basis of Lugansk State Institute of Culture and Arts (Lugansk, Krasnaya Ploschad, 7). The authors of victory works in the elimination period are invited by the organizing committee. The programme of the final period of the Festival provides an open viewing of the competitive works on the silver screen, the holding of masterclasses, exhibitions and meetings for exchange of experience.
The Festival is holding in such nominations:
- «The Youngest Animator» - the contest authors’ to 10 years old animated works;
- «Jolly Plasticine» - the contest of works realized in techniques «Claymation»;
- «Golden Mouse» - cartoons shooted with the helping of computer as the main instrument (flash, marionette, three-dimensional graphics);
- «Fairytale» - the contest of animated works were cinematized of fairytales, myths, bylinas, tall tales etc;
- «The Best Musical Film» - animated music videos and videosongs;
- «The Best Animated Film to Sixty Seconds»;
- «The Best Decorative Design of the Cartoon»;
- «The Best Cartoon on the Festive Subject».
