International cooperation

Lugansk State Institute of Culture and Arts has developed and realizes its’ own strategy of international cooperation and cooperation between higher educational establishments on the integration principles basis. Its’ basis is Institute students and professors active participation in various educational, scientific, culturological programs and projects of educational establishments and organizations of foreign countries.

One of the cores of Lugansk State Institute of Culture and Arts international cooperation are:

  • higher educational establishment integration to European and international educational, scientific and cultural space;

  • development and growth of reciprocal institute collaboration with foreign higher educational establishments, international organizations, and other physical and juridical persons.

Institute international activity is coordinated by international relations department. It fixes the connections with educational establishments and creative collectives of near and far abroad countries.

Fixing creative connections with CIS, Western and Eastern Europe, Asian, North America countries, such as Russia, Byelorussia, Hungary, Poland, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Belgium, China, Turkey, Jordan etc is the work result in the direction of educational establishment prestige growth and qualitative education of European level specialists.

The educational establishments list that LSICA has cooperation agreements with, is growing annually. Nowadays it’s eight cooperation agreements of such kind:

  • Saint Petersburg State Academic Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture after I. Ryepin. (dated 10.11. 2006);

  • Moscow State University of Culture and Arts (dated 14.04.2007);

  • Kazan State University of Culture and Arts (dated 12.04.2007);

  • Byelorussia State University of Culture and Arts (dated 14.04.2007);

  • Brussels Royal Conservatory (dated 29.10.2007);

  • «Interregional Centre of International Slavic Cooperation» Saint Petersburg (dated 14.04.2007);

  • Saint Kyryl and Methodius University at Trnava (Slovak Republic) (dated 08.08.2008);

  • Humanities and Economic Academy at Lodz (Poland) (dated 04.06.2008).

International cooperation agreements provide the possibility for LSICA students to get qualitative education on bachelors and masters programs at European higher educational establishments, pass foreign practical training, and the possibility for LSICA professors to get professional training.

Institute students and professors constantly assist at various scientific, educational and cultural programs, held by higher educational establishments in foreign countries, as well as at seminars, «round tables», master - classes, festival, general scientific projects, probations, business meetings etc.

Professors staff is a constant participant of international level educational events, devoted to strategic issues of culture and arts higher educational establishments integration to European and world educational space, such as international symposium «Culture and Arts higher educational establishments in sole world educational space» (Moscow, Russian Federation), «International symposium on media education» (Vaaz, Finland), International Forum-exhibition «Education» (Birminghem, Great Britatin), International scientific conference «technical, economic and social problems of European society development» (Gorzhoviya, Poland), International scientific practical conference «Culture. Science. Creation. » (Minsk, Byelorussia) and others.

Most of institute creative collectives go on foreign tours actively, assist at professional contests and festivals. For example LSICA chamber orchestra under the guidance of Nadiya Kozlova, the one that collaborates with Honored Artist of Russian Federation, professor of Moscow State Conservatory after P. Tchaikovsky- Yuriy Tkanov, annually assists at international music festival «Moscow Autumn» (2004-2008). In 2005, the orchestra together with its’ conductor Vienna musical University professor Ernst Vurdingher went on tour to Austria. Master Vurdingher successfully collaborates with youth symphony orchestra (producer Sergiy Yovsa).

Numerous international contests prize winner chamber chorus «Alma Mater» is well known in Russia, Byelorussia, Poland and France judging upon their tours and master classes upon the assistance of LSICA musical department professor- Iryna Yenenko. Roche- la - Molliere musical center representatives have been visiting Lugansk for ten years in frames of creative collaboration; and now they collaborate with powerful educational complex «Lugansk State Institute of Culture and Arts- Lugansk regional college of Culture and Arts- Children art school».

At the beginning of July 2008 «Rodoslav» folk dance ensemble and the folk orchestra under the guidance of Nikolay Yovsa played at the 23rd international meeting of folk exponents «Lublin 2008». They took part in contest events, parades, concerts and musical show in Nalezov and Lublin cities.

 Among students’ collectives and soloists’ participation at international contests and festivals, tours abroad, Lugansk State Institute of Culture and Arts, in its’ turn, hospitably meets the masters of scene, cinema, television and fine arts from abroad with solo concerts and master-classes: soloist of State Academic Grand Opera and Ballet Theatre- Svitlana Shylova (Moscow, Russian Federation), professor of Brussel’s Royal Conservatoire Hedwig Shwimberg (Belgium).

 The February, 2006 has been marked by international concert festival of classical Finnish music «Finnish winter», under the patronage of Embassy of Finland in Ukraine with the participation of Edward Edelchuk (Finland), People’s Artist of Ukraine, the professor of Kharkov Arts University - Tatiana Verkina, our institute and college professors and students. Collective of the institute initiated the international musical festival, dedicated to century from the birth of the great composer Dmitry Shestakovich. Professor from Russian Federation Ury Tkanov (alto), pianist Viy Zinzey from China, conductor Valery Trubin-Leonov (USA) and the musical group «Kharkiv-Quartet» participated in festival concerts.

 Fine Arts department students visited higher educational establishments of Russia cultural capital – St. Petersburg’s Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture after I. Ryepin and Academy of Artistic Industry after V. Muhina. Such visit considered to be educational practice for them.

 The young designers from cloths designing chair present their author’s creations on the specialized forum «Fashion Assembly», being held in frames of International Fashion Week in Moscow. They meet leading designers, fix business contacts with costume design chair of Moscow State University of Design and Technology, costume artistic designing chair of Moscow State Textile University after O.M. Kosygin and other participants of «Assembly».

The acceptance of international delegations from partner educational establishments at LSICA allows pointing out main collaboration directions and getting acquainted with higher educational establishment, students and professors’ staff, conduct lectures and master – classes.

 The delegations of Brussels’ Royal Conservatoire in person of rector Rafael D’Haen, international relations pro-rector - Yan D’Haen and professor Hedwig Shwimberg and the Academy of Humanities and Economics (Lodz, Poland) in person of rector, professor Kshusztov Makary Stasiak and official from Foreign Affairs Ministry - Mechislav Lapanovsky have visited LSICA in 2008.

Institute effective cooperation with the Expert’s council member in St.Petersburg, the professor- V.V.Myhajlenko, upon the issues of tolerance consolidation, has favored the rise of international cooperation new tendencies. In February 2008 the Centre of tolerance, aimed at tolerant environment consolidation on the basis of multiculturalism principles, values of multinational Ukrainian society, people’s rights and freedoms following, international peace and consent support.

Students’ council of Lugansk State Institute of Culture and Arts is the initiator of meetings with the student activists from foreign universities. Students have been able to discuss collaboration issues on youth problems solving at the festival of youth projects of Saint Petersburg national and cultural center, called “Through the Diversity to unity”, round table, called «Forms of youth collaboration in St.Petersburg and Russian abroad sole cultural space creation», UNO youth summit etc.

LSICA scientific -methodological department became the initiator of International Internet-Forum «Person – Culture – Art – Creative personality» conducting. The Forum participants – the students from partner higher educational establishments, have discussed the problems of the of creative personality development at national and cultural space.

The cultures mutual enrichment became possible in frames of such project as «French spring in Ukraine», during which the students had communicated with young French music groups and taken part at master-classes and debates.

Owing to USA international probation projects the institute students do their language and pedagogical training, working at children camps in summer in USA.

Numerous international creative actions upon the participation of LSICA art collectives have proves that our young masters and performers have been able to present diligently their educational establishment and country at international space.
