About the institute
On the 8th of April 2002 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted the decision to create a state institute of culture and arts in Lugansk. This event convinced one more time that the cultural development of Ukraine in general is impossible without the development of its’ separated regions.
Today it seems that all this has been yesterday: first students, major repairs and reconstruction of educational building, the first pleasure of our pupils’ victories, hostel arrangement, new art collectives birth, students’ TV studio and educational animation studio birth. Our institute has rushed into Ukrainian educational space and has been capable to take its own niche in it, giving a wide spectrum of educational services for everybody, who wants to learn art specialties. More than 200 young talents decided to start their professional career in our institute. That is why the motto «Find yourself among us» has been strongly fixed in young talented people consciousness, who are in search of their abilities application. And today the spectrum of the specializations, suggested, has been increased up to 28.
Our institute trademark is the principle of teaching and practice integrity. Students’ creative collectives work successfully in all departments: orchestra, choreographic, ensembles, workshops, agencies, educational theatres etc. Such “connection with life” allows maximum filling of educational process with a rich creative sense, developing of would-be specialist practical skills upon mass spectator participation already in frames of the institute. Our students’ professional achievements have been marked by many of Ukrainian and international contests and festivals prize winners’ titles. We constantly increase material and technical base, fix cultural connections, become initiators and leaders of various art contests, all-Ukrainian conferences, festivals.
And the most important whom we are proud of, is our students! Because big and friendly collective of the Lugansk State Institute of Culture and Arts works for their sake only. We believe in you, present and future students, in your diligence and dedication on the way to self-realization and acceptance, because your talent is being engraved by true specialists. They call themselves art craftsmen, and their professionalism is associated with the work of a jeweler, because they create the most expensive brilliant step by step. We believe that once the moment will come, when their creation will impress the whole world by the shine of talent!
